“its a nice simple machine, which makes it very easy to use from the get go, and also to train other operatives on quickly and efficiently”
What is the latest wide format digital printer you’ve bought and how much did it cost?
The DGI Hercules, installed just a few weeks ago. It replaced an existing machine and cost around £18,000.
What other wide format printers did you look at before buying the Hercules?
We also considered an Epson version.
Why did you choose this printer?
We engaged with Dan at Sabur as we receive excellent service from them and they are trusted partners of our business. We chose this machine because of its larger 1.9m capacity and the speed it’s capable of.
Is there anything you’d like to see in an upgrade or don’t particularly like about it?
So far so good!
What’s it like to use?
In our opinion its a nice simple machine, which makes it very easy to use from the get go, and also to train other operatives on quickly and efficiently.
What is the Hercules mainly used for?
We use it for general dye sub work, including large volumes of textile printing towels, blankets and cushions, to name but three items.
What machines do you use in combination with your wide format printer?
We have an array of other large format and digital printing and finishing machines. These include Epson. Diferro and Zund.
What would be your advice to others thinking of buying a similar wide format printer?
We’d particularly recommend engaging with Sabur and benefiting from their experience and advice. There’s a reason why we have had a partnership with them spanning many years and earned our trust in all things dye sublimation.
